Schools
Have Changed, and So Have the Risks Schools have more to worry about than boilers today, with equipment exposures that have changed considerably in the past 20 years. Boilers and hot water heaters were once the biggest risk for equipment breakdown and they still account for many expensive losses. But as schools depend more on modern technology, electrical losses are increasing and now make up a larger percentage of total breakdowns. ELECTRICAL LOSSES ARE RISING Schools are adding electrical equipment such as computers, communications networks, building environmental controls, audio-visual systems, and electronic security and surveillance systems.
