NO POWER, NO PEOPLE Workers were installing a circuit breaker in a community center when the 4-inch bolt passed through a switchboard and shorted out the main power cables and other electrical distribution equipment. Without electricity, the building was closed.

A COSTLY MISTAKE
The center still had to meet payroll and refund fees for canceled classes and events before power was restored with a rented generator. Replacing the main lines and equipment required relocating electrical panels, conduits and water pipes. HSB paid $192,957 for repairs; $27,265 for lost income and extra expenses.
